Because the tree plays such an important character in the film, it took five location scouts and a search of over two years to find the one that was just right.
We discovered it in Boonah, Queensland, where it sits on the property of the Footes (see photo). Margaret Foote stars in the film as one of the MacKenzie twins.
Majestic and atmospheric, the beautiful fig tree in the
film is over 130 years old and over 20m high.
